The Plan
Just a quick note before we try to get some sleep.
July 28 the staples are removed, get an MRI and meet with the radiooncologist
August 3 meet with the neurooncologist to discuss the final treatment plan
August 10 radiation and chemo therapy begins for 6 weeks.
It's a long road that lies ahead, but there is sunshine at the end.

Glad to hear that you guys are back home. That, in itself, will be comforting and therapeutic. Rob, your dad sent me a great email with the whole schedule and your battle plan sounds perfect. The tumor doesn't have a chance.
ReplyDeleteRob - I just heard about everything. I'll keep you and Jill in my prayers and if you ever need anything from/in Tucson, let me know. Best of everything and all my positive thoughts....

Not to be flip - but I think there's definitely a better chance of Jill beating this thing then there is of Arizona getting a budget! Seriously, we believe in bright futures and there's definitely one ahead for the two of you.
ReplyDeleteHi Rob. We haven't met but I know Jill and wanted to thank you for putting up this blog to help us all stay connected and informed.
ReplyDeleteI pray that the Lord, the giver of life, embrace Jill and you at this time and make himself known to you through the love of others.
I pray too that the Holy Spirit would gently descend upon you both in new and gentle ways that you might receive whatever healing you are open to, on whatever levels.
And I pray that the God the Father would be your strength in ways you've yet to imagine possible.
Be open. Be healed. Be loved.
Debbie
Kids,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful road that lies ahead of you two! Since you two are crazy athletes, this challenge will make you more bad ass than you already are! It is heartwarming to see that you two have each other and the gracious and supportive community of famiia, friends and acquaintances.
Don't forget that ice cream helps the healing!
A+++

ReplyDeleteYou mentioned wondering what you would do with your dog, Leo. Am wondering if your vet would know someone who could "foster" Leo for you while you are in Phoenix. Another thought would be to call the breeder that sold him to you. Perhaps the breeder could take him for the six weeks or know someone who would enjoy the opportunity to foster for a while.
